From
recent studies and experiments, conclusions have been drawn that using
chemotherapy on a dying cancer patients does more harm than the opposite. This new research programs have proven that the exhausting treatments
giving to patients with life threatening cancer issue has no meaningful effect
on their survival, instead, the treatment enhances the difficulty of the patient in dealing with normal daily activities as a human being.
The
research doctors have proven that the current treatment administered to
cancer patients near death, "that is those whose cancer has spread to
other parts of their body" has no positive effect on their survival as a
 result calls for modification.

This
study carried at Weill Cornell Medical College studied the daily life
activities of cancer patients at the last stages of their treatment with
half of them receiving chemotherapy and the others not, the surprising
result has shown that the ones receiving the chemotherapy treatment develop worse health status than the other.
Therefore
this has lead to the conclusion that the chemotherapy treatment causes
even worse states of daily living i.e. walking, running, washing, etc
than not taking it at all.
According
to the article published by the chief consultant at the Cornell Medical
College website, Doctor Emm he said "the quality of life of cancer
patients at the last stage could be drastically affected by the effect
of chemotherapy"
He
continued that all patients whose life expectancy is less than six
months is proved to be unresponsive to chemotherapies and the grueling
treatments administered to them.
These conclusion were made in accordance with a patients ability to perform everyday tasks like walking, jogging and self care.
The research process involves each patients attendant who give detailed report on how his patient lived the last few weeks of his life, his performances in terms of daily activities. Then
with these informations from the different attendants, a comparison process is then taken from there to relate the
patients performances with the others in the same category and then an
effective and useful information is gotten.
