The former governor of the central bank of Nigeria Charles Soludo has stated that from his observations, the 2016 budget presented by the president Muhammad Buhari has no clear difference from the one ex-president presented.
Soludo explained that the present budget was almost a copy of the one president Jonathan's administration used, adding that defeating old bad ideas could be better than initiating old ones, and that since the past government was unsuccessful in carrying out its budget plans, perhaps this new one could yield positive results with thesame budget.
According to Charles Soludo "the present budget is more of the same to the previous ones. Refering to the vice president prof. Yemi Osibanjo, he said that the GDP scale value of this government is thesame with that of the past government . with the most striking similarity being that they all have 37% deficit (borrowing 37% with only 30% on capital project).
