Pope Francis: Stop alienating divorced families for the sake of there children...
Finally!
After a long pause, the pontiff, on his weekly radio audience on
Wednesday, got back speaking again. The Argentine pope has urged
catholic to be more welcoming toward divorced and remarried individuals
explaining that the church have not in anyway found them excommunicated.
He
adviced that the issue is not only about the couple but the God given
children who often feel shunned by their local parishes as a result of
their parents failed marital relationship. He went on to say that the
children of such marriages are the main reason why there is urgency for
Christians to change their attitude towards divorced or remarried
couple.
According
to the pope, he argued if it was possible to remind parents of their
unfailing duty to train their children in the christian morals and value
and still keep them at a distance as if they were excommunicated from
the other congregation, "no they are not they are always part of the
church" he said to listeners mainly pilgrims and tourist under the
blasing summer sun at the St peters square.
On the meeting of the world bishops, a unanimous understanding of the popes issue concerning divorce and remarriage couples were considered as a key issue in the Christendom, as the segregation of the divorced couples from taking the holy communion unless they decide not to remarry have become an issue that needs to be looked into.
Some members of the catholic family believed that these remarks may be an open door for some reformations in the cannon law including the communion ban.
Recall on pope Francis speech in Ecuador earlier this summer he said "we are obliged to hold on and act in love towards fellow brethren and not judge and smith them, we should pray with love for one another for miracles of transformation in character, mostly the families today they need this miracle".
The pope on Wednesday acknowledged that Catholic teachings considers "taking up a new union" after divorce to be wrong and contradictory of the Christian sacrament of marriage.
Nonetheless, the pope went on to proclaim that the church is an open house of the Holy Father (God) therefore the church must always consider well-being of others.
