Lagos State Governor Shuffles The Members Of The Lagos State Parmanent Secretory

The new governor of Lagos state his excellency, Mr, Akinwumi Ambode has appointed the members of the staff for the new government to kick off with the affair in the public service of the state.

On Monday, the chief press secretary Mr Habib Aruna, explained that the complete shuffle in the members of the states permanent secretory was an action induced by the governors determination to boost the efficiency of the civil service in the state. A statement on Monday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Habib Aruna, stated that the appointments were in line with the governor’s drive to restructure the civil service for efficient performance and better service delivery.

In the statement he said that "the development of the state is also coming with the intention of streamlining some of the existing ministries, department and agencies in order to boost their efficiency." he also said that the new permanent secretaries have already been deployed across the current board in the new structure of the states civil service.


The names of the newly appointed permanent secretaries were released by the governor and the 19 persons includes

  1. Mr. Bamgboye Abiodun,
  2. Mrs. Dapo-Thomas Aderemi,
  3. Mrs. Ariyo  Olabisi, 
  4. Mrs. Adekanye Elizabeth,
  5. Mr. Bode Agoro, 
  6. Dr. Ayandele Abiose,
  7. Dr. Sodeinde Ibironke,
  8. Mr. Odeyemi Adesina,
  9. Mrs. Odulana Olufunmilayo.
  10. Mrs. Onisarotu Jemil,
  11. Mr. Bade-Adebowale Caster,
  12. Mrs. Amosu Ayodele,
  13. Mr. Kadiri Adebisi,
  14. Mrs. Anifowoshe Abiola,
  15. Mr. Adeyemi Anthony,
  16. Dr. Oduwole Elizabeth, 
  17. Mr. Mustapha Olorunfemi,
  18. Mrs. Odunlami Adesola and
  19. Mr. Odupitan Olusola.”

The governor has also taken the undeviated stand to retire due members of the section, an action which the past governments have neglected due to what he explained as an act with a selfish interest attached to it. "15 permanent secretaries has been retired and the new once are due to resume office on Monday" he said.
